Priyanka Chopra got comic during a recent taping of the Ellen DeGeneres Show. The action-packed segments have proven to be highly engaging throughout the week, which could have been what kept the eight-time Daytime Emmy winner laughing and laughing after joking about her and her husband Nick Jonas’ age gap of 10 years.
The actress met Jonas, 25, on the set of her TV show “Quantico,” where they became the ultimate fan-favorites. Jonas was there for six seasons until being dumped by the starlet in mid-September, just one month before their March wedding.
DeGeneres also went in on the former Disney star’s new tattoo, a Sanskrit design on his foot.
“I thought that symbolized ‘Blessed’ is what it meant,” DeGeneres quipped. “All of the merriment that it apparently represents.”
“You actually just got into an argument with someone over this?” the actress asked him.
“That’s what I was going to say,” she added. “I was going to say that the symbols that I thought it represented were both children and also criminals, which I know you come from. It meant ‘lucky’ to you?”
“You actually should just call me and tell me what this means,” Jonas joked.
According to sources close to Chopra, she and Jonas are preparing to get married in Mumbai next month, but did not specify where or when it was occurring.
The couple have even booked the ceremony at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower hotel in Mumbai, reports E! News.
The bride-to-be previously revealed to E! News that the couple was “ecstatic.”
“I feel unbelievably blessed,” she said. “I am beyond a happy bride-to-be, honestly.”
The guest list has been kept a secret until all details are revealed on the big day. However, earlier this week it was reported that the ceremony will be a traditional wedding with a Jonas-Chopra reception afterward.
