20 Museum Dates Offered For Free This Spring and Summer

The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art includes Egyptian treasures and 19th-century antiques from Italy.

8 p.m. March 5 to April 6, Adult $20; Senior (65+) $16; Students (12-17) $12; Youth (11-17) $9; Family (2 adults and 1 child) $40. Also, 40 percent discount from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends in March.

At the American Museum of Natural History, tickets for 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. performances start at $18.50.

In the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, tickets for 10:30 a.m. visits, are $14.00 and can be used at more than 50% off admissions. A three-time “attraction of the week” — the museum’s regular free Wednesday lineup — offers a reduced admission fee of $11 for teens (13-17) and $13 for adults (18-63). You can also choose a discounted “Access Pass,” which includes an adult ticket to the Children’s Museum of Manhattan at no extra charge.

The Museum of Modern Art boasts hundreds of photographs and also includes masterpieces including Peter Paul Rubens’s “Head of Saint Sebastian.”
